Styling Cropped Flare Denim for fall

If you would have told me a few months ago that I would be obsessed with not only bell sleeves but cropped denim I would have laughed. Truly, with my shorter frame, I didn’t think I could pull them off. Then I saw one of my favorite bloggers, Kathleen of  Carrie Bradshaw Lied, Style them last month. After falling in love with this trend I knew I had to find a pair to try on. I found these high waisted Levi’s at Nordstrom’s a couple weeks ago. I knew I had to have them.

I am not only a huge fan of high waisted denim (see this post) but I also am a huge fan of Levi’s. They fit my body perfectly and are seriously slimming especially through the hips. As far as any denim goes, I am loving the raw hems but what really makes these jeans special is the flare. They are perfect to wear with mules (flat or heels) to show off the crop but are also great with sock booties for winter or sandals for the spring and summer.

I’ve loved styling them with cropped tops and sweaters but I am loving them with this sweater from Castletown lane. I ordered it to fit a little oversized thinking I would wear it with leggings but I really liked the front tucked in with these jeans. The color was perfect for fall and is so on trend. Not to mention that bell sleeves are everywhere right now. What really drew me was how soft it looked. I’m telling you, friends, it’s even softer in person and for $28…. you NEED it!

The high low look of the sweater makes it perfect to tie up in the front or tuck in the front of high rise pants and skirts, but it is also the best length to wear with leggings. All ways can be thrown on with tennies or dressed up with booties or booties.
